    Call Logging

How do you guys keep track of your "to do list". We use outlook task list and I find it rather basic and rather annoying having used some of the industry call loggin tools.

Does anyone know a free (or cheap) logging system where it can be viewed by all but not modifed. The big problem we have here is everyone would like to know what jobs we have got to do and the progress on their call. It would be less stressful for us if it was so basic people could submit thier own jobs to us without having to contact us. Somthing like a baisc form.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatfully received as this would appear to be a minor issue for some but is a big issue for me.

    Re: Call Logging

There's plenty of stuff on sourceforge for this kind of thing.

    http://phphelpdesk.sourceforge.net/
    http://www.liberum.org/

And I'm sure we've talked about this before here too (Ric wasn't it?). I'll see if I can find the thread(s).

    Edit: Here.

Whiteboard and a dry marker is ok but how do you preserve the history of a job and the solution?

    Re: Call Logging

I've just installed Liberum for people to report problems.

Until then it's just being the tried and tested method of people ringing/popping into the office and telling us what was wrong, then us writing it in out book of problems.
