or you can make a winINSTALL msi. Just take a snapshot before, install/configure, take a snapshot after. Deploy by GPO. job done.

Not used it properly but like the fact it enumerates all the computers and you highlight the machine in question and click connect and it installs the service remotely and should hopefully remove it when done.

Cant find the proper website but there used to be c++ source code and explanation of how it did it etc

It's been a while since I did this but here goes...

Download wininstall LE (free!) from this address - Support Home

Install it and it will create a share on the computer you install it on. Something like "\\HOST\wininstall".

Find a clean machine. A freshly imaged one or a VM thats as close to your curriculum machines as possible is good. Navigate to the share "\\hostname\wininstall" and run the discover.exe (I think it's in the "bin" folder).

Follow the instructions (It's a next, next, next with minimal common sense involved), and a before snapshot it taken. Install the software. and run discover.exe again. The program will now create the msi which will be saved where you told it to, when creating the before snapshot (most likely "\\hostname\wininstall\packages\softarename").

Copy the ENTIRE folder up to where you install your MSI's from. Then treat the MSI in there like you would any other (assign it in GPO and deploy).
