IPCOP - ldap authentication?
im trying to setup authentication on an ipcop server (with adv proxy and url filter) that we are going to use to allow 6thform students access to the internet using their own laptops..
have got everything working but for the life of me cant figure out the authentication..
what id like to do is set it up so that when they use their own laptops (through the blue network) a login box pops up and asks them for their username and password, ive got this working with local authentication no problems but ideally would like them to use the login they use to access the schools network!
am currently trying ldap, which pops up the box but when i enter the username and password it doesnt let me in...
im guessing i might have a problem with the base dn settings which are...
the word domain is substituted for our domain name and the networkusers is the OU that our users are located in, though they are all in other OU's below this depending on their year group etc...

You only use CN= for built in OUs, you shoukld use OU= for ones you've created. I think you might have to add all the users to a security group and then specify the LDAP path for this.

changed it to ou=networkusers,dc=domain,dc=localhost
