I have a camcorder that is connected via firewire to my pc. What i want to is to be able to view what is being recorded on the camcorder in full screen. Does anybody know of a way to accomplish this.
We are opening a section of the school and want to setup up a video camera to view the event and then on a pc in the main hall remote desktop the pc linked to the camera and project the video via projector.
I have tried nero vision express (best so far)
movie maker is clever enough to say you cannot view via /rd or terminal services.
thanks

You could download VideoLAN (VLC), and as long as the camera shows up as a supported device you will be able to stream it to another instance of VideoLAN on another PC.

Why not use a TV as a monitor?

Netman
you are a star, i downloaded the windows media encoder 9 and after trialling it was able to stream a test dvd. I connected a sony camcorder to a p4 2.6ghz laptop, that ws connected to the network wirelessly. This went to a Hp2650 switch that was linked via fibre to our main hp 4108gl switch. The switch links up to segment B (coms cabinet b)via fibre. the fibre in cab B is fed into a hp 2324 switch that feeds the network port in hall. I was bale to view the dvd on another wireless laptop and play it via the projector onto the rather large screen.
Got a lot of praise thanks to you. many thanks to you
I will increase my donation to edugeek to £20 thanks
and to the rest who replied thanks...
