Viewing what files a user has opened

    Hi

I was just wondering does anyone know of a way to view what files a user has been looking at e.g. the file names, location etc.. We use ranger for networks and it shows which application they had open but not the exact files they were working on or looking at

Thank in adance for any help

    Matt

Depends on what you're using, but this might help - How to audit user access of files, folders, and printers in Windows XP

You can set all of this in a GPO as well if you want to apply it across the domain, but be aware that the audit logs can get very large, very quickly.
