Given that I'm completely overhauling the small Win2k3 and WinXP network at my school I'm considering the problem of spyware, trojans, virii, etc.. from a new perspective.
At present we have Sophos through the LEA which is costing peanuts and using the Enterprise console but in truth it seems pretty limited in its scope and I've no indication of how well it's coping with non-viral issues.
So, I'm curious as to how anyone else might approach this now, given that spyware, etc.. is becoming more and more of an issue...
Thanks in advance..

The new version of Sophos does a much better job of dealing with malware.

Mine has not found any malware at all, and I know there was some there as I put it there, I don't think its as good at finding it yet as say Win Defender or other anti-virus software is. It seems that Sophos are still have a bit of catching up to do to the big guys
