we have magicard printer with idpro7, personally I like it alot had a litle problem with it last week and required taking it apart while talking to the engineer on the phone, and between us we managed to solve the problem which makes a change.

I recommend magicard just on the quality level of support you get. and the warranty is spot on too

We use IDpro7 with magicprinter and have had no problems with it. Well not to my knowledge anyway.

Just out of curiousity, what kind of cost would you be looking at for a bog standard setup from magicard?

I was just about to ask the same thing. We need to get a card printer (only low volume) but it needs to be cheeeeeeeeeeap.

Well, we went ahead and bought the printer (forget the exact model but it prints the hologram overlay), 300 cards with the hologram in the corner, 200 lanyards and holders, the software, a couple of spare ribbons and it cost in the region of £1,700.

I haven't used it in anger yet so can't comment on its suitability yet.
