    Removing audio from Video files

Does anyone know how to remove the audio (I want the video but the audio is a music track that hasn't been granted permission yet) from M4V and SWF files?

In Premiere, you can unlink the video and audio, then delete the audio track. I've not tried with swf files though...

Can't you install camstudio, set it to record then play the file with muted audio?

I think it's possible with Movie Maker providing you can open your file format. If so, drag it to the timeline and then expand the timeline with the + on the left. Right click on the audio and then select volume and mute clip. You can then export it.

mencoder (part of the mplayer package) should be able to do this.
