    standalone usenet client

    Im in an internet cafe and trying to grab something off usenet but cant isntall newsleecher is there a standalone program I can downlaod that will run to let me achieve my goal?

    I don't have an immediate answer to your query but I would strongly recommend switching your usenet provider to easynews, they have an excellent browser based interface that will allow you to grab binaries, it also has an autounrar and zip manager for adding multiple files into a zip.

    Happy customer for 14 months so far.

    im just looking for a one off solution to a temporary problem rather than take the drastic measure of changing providers etc. Thanks for the reply though. Ive been with astraweb for over a year now and theres 3 of us sharing the acccount etc so too much hassel to change. Ill try copying over the newsleecher folder to my usb when i get back to my laptop and see if that runs.
