e-shop for school payments collection
Just wondering if anyone has setup a web shop to take payments for school trips and such.
Maybe the whole mixture of parents, money and internet security is just too much of a can worms to be worthwhile.
The payments comapny would also charge commision. But could this be offset by the cash hadnling fees at the bank and time spent by teachers and/or stupport staff taking payments.

Or nochex, I think it makes sense to go with one of the allready setup pre payment merchants though.

Or use http://www.schoolpay.co.uk/ that I just found thinking what a good idea this was and that would be the perfect domain name, oh well

Re: e-shop for school payments collection
Hmmm The company is a bit anonymous for an organisation wanting people to trust it with their money.

True the domain was registered in 2000 though.
Looks like they are using worldpay as the backend to do the transactions so any school wanting to get into this could sign up with worldpay on a small business account and do it themselves.

We have asked our bank directly to see if they can do this for us.
We should have an answer by the end of the week whether it is possible.

I got a flier from https://www.parentpay.com/ and it looks very good.
They'll set you up a test account so you can play if you ask them.
Setup costs seem quite reasonable too.

Also that parentpay site has a nice little verisign secured logo, so I'd be more inclined to deal with them before the other!!
