One||Zero task categories, groups & Ranks

ok still getting used to this so a few queries

whats the difference between task groups & task Categories?

Currently I have set it up with 2 groups - Staff & pupils
and about 10 categories (sims, passwords, smartboards, etc)

Also, whats the purpose of the ranks beside each category and group?

The rank is what order it gets displayed in the list IIRC.

The tasks and categories just make the reporting breakdown easier at a later date.

hmm, wonder if there is anyway to modify it so that whenthey choose a group, it changes what categories are displayed (eg a "Hardware" group would only display "Monitor, PC, Printer, Smartboard", etc, etc
