Ever had a member of staff come up to you or email you asking something completely random that you're just going to google because there's no way you would know the answer, or that they should have the brains to figure out themselves?
Here's one way of gently conveying that they don't need to be so reliant:
Let me google that for you
Which generates links like this one that you could send in your email reply.
I've yet to be given a reason to use this since I found out about it, but look forward to the next asinine enquiry now. Hope it brightens someone's day.
Fantastic; will be used to destruction tomorrow along with the firewall video clip.
Very good but it would be wasted on your target audience!
OMG, thank you.
Thats great! Will be used at the first possible opportunity.
self referential web links make baby jesus cry.
memeber of staff came in to my office last night as I was leaving work, pulled up a chair and started to rant about her boyfriend, and then asked me for relationship advice.
Guess I should have googled it. D'oh! Hoisted by my own petard
I'm sure there is a joke about "anything with a plug or batteries" there somewhere
