About LinkBacksIm currently between contracts, and each text is costing me 10p just now. I had 10 free messages from o2.co.uk, but ive used them all up.
Does anywhere else offer a small number of free texts / day?

Free SMS Text Messaging and Business Bulk SMS Solutions from CardBoardFish works ok, as does freesms.net sms messaging - both with advertising text tagged on obviously.
The O2 website will also give you a few texts for free if you sign up, last time I checked you didn't even need to have an O2 SIM/account either. Think that tagged something on but shorted than the ads on the other two sites.
Not sure if this applies to you but might be useful for others.

If you're 16-24 then you can get 217 texts and 43 minutes each month in return for a few advertising texts. Alright as a backup!
