    Free replacement for webex

Has anyone played with Dimdim: Free Web Meeting, Free Web Conferencing, Meetup, Open Source, Net Meeting, eLearning, web conference, Unified Collaboration, Online Meetings, Online Training, Free Screen Sharing, collaboration, live meeting yet?

Looks good it's a free solution to online meetings and is billed as a webex replacement.

You can do it on their hosted version free for up to 20 people or you can host your own.

    Ben

    yep -played with

    I had this installed once,

It was really strange - seemed to work ok. However there was a serious lag with the webcam. So much so, it was possible to setup a conference, wave in to the camera ... _ walk _ ... to the next classroom to see myself appear and wave to myself. I could then wave back and watch as much hilarity ensued.

Still it did look a good product

We are only just starting to use collaboration things here - so no, no one here really has used it much.

We will likely use a Cisco / Polycom / SMART board system - as these seem to be in place elsewhere in the company (my office is new)
