have you got an tips to get EPO working i tried for a day and gave up

No, not really. If I remember correctly the procedure went like this:

Install EPO, let it install MSDE if you don't already have a SQL server on the network/server
Create a user
Import your domain
Make it deploy the McAfee Framework Client to your workstations
Download VirusScan Enterprise from the McAfee Enterprise website
Upload it to your EPO server
Schedule a job to install the virus scanner on the PC. Set it to start five minutes in the future, tell it to run once and tell it to run any missed tasks. This will make it install the scanner on PCs which have just had the framework service installed automatically.
Schedule jobs and updates to be run

The best advice I can give you is, tbh, RTFM. I couldn't work it out just playing with it but the documentation that McAfee provide on EPO is quite extensive and helped me enormously.
