Rep Power: 4  |  Job Application Questions I am appying for a new job for the post if IT Technician and have to supply the following information just on the application form, this is before i even get an interview too!!! "Using a maximum of 200 words please provide a recent example that demonstrates the following competency(s): Effective Communication Personal Responsibility Respect for Race and Diversity Any body any ideas, i have had a few, but just thought i should ask for some input. |

Rep Power: 16 | Is that 200 words for each competency? Effective communication: setting up of a system (or improving one) for people to communicate their computer problems and get feedback and help- or something of this nature. Or - an occasion where effective communication solved a problem Personal Responsibility: describe an occasion when you took responsibility for something from start to finish - eg setting up a whole area, researching something and presenting your findings, developing a system for something or other, etc I think respect for race and diversity is a difficult one: I can't think of anything I have done except to change a form that teachers had to fill in as it stated 'Christian name' not first name (it was a very old form!) Have you produced anything in a different language for a foreign teacher? Hope this helps |

Rep Power: 4 | That's fab witch, and yes it is 200 words on each subject, i feel it's a bit OTT myself, but nevermind. I shall try and put all these together in time for the closing date. Any more suggestions, please keep them coming. |

Rep Power: 16 | The Race and Diversity one may come under your website... making sure that the photos used demonstrate the ethnic and disability diversity of your school. In our case, it's making sure the boys appear... we only take them until the end of KS1 and so there are proportionally far more girls. If I'm not very careful, our website only shows white girls! |
