    Hello,

The BKF file format is associated with “Windows XP”. You can take backup of your drives easily by using “ntbackup.exe.
Creating backup of your valuable data is a process to prevent your all data from data loss situation. There are many other utilities available which allow you to take a backup of your data in the form of BKF files such as Veritas Backup Exec or any other backup utility that supports Microsoft tape format. These backups are really helpful at the time of data loss. You can easily restore your data from BKF file using NTBackup utility or any other utility using which the backup was created.

But sometimes your best planning for taking a backup may fail due to some unseen reasons like corruption of BKF file. And the data becomes inaccessible to you because there is no such feature available to restore data from corrupt BKF files. This creates tensed situation and force you to think about how to recover your data. For this situation you are left with only one solution. The solution is third party tool to recover BKF file.

Some of the reasons for corruption of BKF files are:-
    • Virus attacks.
    • CRC errors.
    • The backup file is unusable.
    • Improper shutdown.
    • Backup interruptions.
    • Unrecognized media.

If you are facing any of these issues then I suggest you to download “SysInfoTools MS BKF Repair” software.
This tool easily deals with mentioned causes of corruption and quickly recovers your data at the user defined location. This tool uses high-end recovery algorithm that performs the sequential scan of BKF file and restores the maximum possible data.
I use this tool to get my data back from my corrupt BKF file. The very interesting feature of this tool that you can see the preview for your recovered file. I can share a link of this tool, you can try and get your data maximum possible data back.

NTBkUp should do it. It's free.

@Marksteve. Do you work for SysInfoTools? Your post looks like spam.

I am not working for SysInfoTools. These r t the some situations where BKF file got corrupt due these reasons and if anyone not able to recover it by NTBkUp. I just suggest the gud tool which is available on the web market for BKF corrupt files.

I have just had the same problem. I can confirm that Repair My Backup v4 Standard fixes the problem. It is available from Getdata.
Payment was done using PayPal. £96 well spent.

Why bother to post negative comments. It was a genuine reply not an advert.

We have certain criteria and tests the moderators can do to check if a poster is giving genuine advice or posting spam before posts are deleted if they are in any doubt of the authenticity of a post. This one failed.
