Managed to get it up and running on a Ubuntu server without any difficulties. Testing uploading and deploying our Windows XP SP3 sysprep builds and so far so good. Love the extras thrown in ie disk wipe, recover etc.

Not even had chance to test the client/server etc yet!

Deployed a 1.7GB images in under 10 mins from A virtual server with 256mb of ram and 100mb ethernet connection
I can image a 2GB partition using PING in about 2 mins when the stations are gigabit linked. At 100MBS it takes about 6 mins for 2GB, which I think is quick. This is to a linux file share on ubuntu, as apparently it's a lot faster using a linux file share than a windows file share.

Thanks for the update on PING it was nearly 12 months ago when I last looked at it. Can't remember what sort of share we used for the files.

Big plus for FOG is that is usable with the non Linux enthusiasts on our team

The extras, logging, automated image deployment are very good features as well.

Glad others are jumpping on the FOG bandwaggon
It's a great piece of kit and will hopefully just keep getting better! In the 6 months i've been using it; it certainly has come along way!

Wow, you can say that again! I last looked at it about 9 months or so ago when I saw a presentation on google video by one of the developers. It certainly looks much more usable than it was back then.

    Can it do multicast though?
