Hello
I would like to remove a whole load of headers / footers from Word. All googling seems to lead back to this site:sobolsoft
This will only do 1 file at a time unless you pay 20 bucks. I don't mind that so much if I have to but is there a free one before I pay?
Also, free mass adding of headers and footers would also be good.

Just thinking a bit outside the box..

20th June 2008, 12:59 PM #3 Do you mean you might have 100's of Word documents using a specific header and footer and you want to remove or edit it on each one?
Without something third party I can't see how else you can do this.

Thanks for the reply. Almost. 100s with different headers and footers so want to strip them all out.

I agree. The link I provided seems to work but I would prefer a free app if anyone knows of one.

20th June 2008, 01:30 PM #5 Could you not script this somehow? Some kind of VBScript could probably do it or an AutoIt script would probably do the trick... you could then sell it for £19 and undercut the other guy

20th June 2008, 02:16 PM #6 Heres some freeware:
http://www.downloadtopc.com/getnow/6...Documents.html
I haven't tested it but it does not seem to have any viruses in it when I scanned it
Word is also has full automation with VBS, examples here:
