Help Desk Info needed...Urgent plz?
Well, the thing is i am writing a paper on Web based Help Desk systems and i kind of need a source that shows me the top rated ones out there in the market...it could be user ratings or any sort of ratings (independant body)..i need to include evidence in my paper....ive tried help desk forums but they are not so interactive and dont help....anywhere i can find this info??

Well najath....one of the things you'll need to do in you're report is highlight the sizable price differences between certain products.
Two of the more expensive (infact v. expensive) products with good market share are remedy and Heat. Not sure who owners of the two products are as of this time, although i believe BMC, the makers of Patrol, own the remedy product.
As for the top rated ones, that's a subjective opinion, what matters is who's using it and who's gobbling market share. Helpdesk systems for the large companies are very complex systems, they require a lot of configuration and consultancy time so it's not always as simple as giving it a rating out of 5. That's if it's the case the departments who've bought remedy or heat go round giving 'star' ratings.
Then there's the lower end of the spectrum with open source solutions. Research into that. That's as much information as i know about the market...you'll have to investigate further the points i've raised and the products i've mentioned.

thanx for the reply...well..i dont need you to do the work for me...ive tried looking for quite some time now and i have ended up with not much i can say...i just need to be pointed in the right direction...maybe i need to look elsewhere
