We are currently changing our AUP Acceptable User Policy. We have new software that monitors all pc's and also staff laptops. (taking snapshots of any vilations eg, swear words, bullying, chat usage, illegeal web sites etc.
The laptops will also be monitored away from school and syncronise any violations with the software database the next time it logs on (which for me is a grey area at the moment)
Any examples around?
Theres some on the Wiki
Try this - also a poster to be displayed around the school.

Nice.

Yes thanks ...
First is the A3 AUP which breaks everything down into small bits ...
next is the AUP Agreement Statement, an A4 document that the student and their parent has to sign and return (they also get to keep a copy which has the full AUP on the back)
We also have staff sign the exact same statement too ... and this is kept in their records.
The rule is ... if you don't sign you don't get on ... and even the head has signed ... but he is also listed in our policy documents as an exception for certain things.
