id like to point out that you can now access the last seven days of any channel4 show on their website here
    HTML Code:
    http://www.channel4.com/watch_online/
this works only with the latest drm installed (my school wont install the latest drm!) and works very well.

I've got a teacher wanting to use C4's Catchup Player to play this:
    Catch Up
It played the adverts and then stopped. After a little digging around I found this link which has fixed the problem on his PC:
    Security component upgrade
However, this is a manual process. Does anyone have an automated solution? e.g MSI I can deploy via Group Policy or suchlike??

I was speaking with the guy in charge of 4OD the other day, he says they are moving away from the current format and going over to streaming flash like iPlayer pretty soon.

Oh. Did he indicate any sort of timeframe for this?

Apologies to Plock for slightly hijacking his thread (but it was related, sortof...)

I spotted Channel 4 clip bank at BETT. It's not free (I didn't have time to ask how much?), but I might solution worth looking at, particularly if you can get departments to split the cost.

Not too sure, was only in passing really. Spoken to him many times but never knew what he did. I have his contact details so might pop him an email. Or may even see him next week. I'll keep you updated.
