    Stopping Outlook Rules

Does anyone know a succesful way of either stoppint the access to Rules and Alerts in Outlook 2003? Either through GPO or a Script.

If it is Outlook Web Access you can remove the Rules feature but it's a Server Setting so will affect ALL users.

    Go to your Exchange Server
    Open IE
Enter the address (you need the s) https://127.0.0.1/owaadmin
Under the Customization section choose 'Server-wide feature support'
    Untick the box for 'Rules'
    Click Ok.

Users will still be able to create and Out of Office reply though.

I've just had a trawl through the Outlook ADM Template and can see no such options I'm afraid.

The option is disabled in the User CP section.

On the left hand side go to Edit Options under the Settings & Options section.

Then look under Messaging and Notification for Default Thread Subscription Mode

I've changed mine to Instant email notification which works the way the old boards did.
