    Custom domain email hosting

So I've just had the e-mail come through informing me that Outlook.com is removing sign ups for custom domains now. Like most things though the first sign of a key feature being removed is usually indication that they'll remove custom domains altogether.

Figured I may as well look into transferring it over, just wondered if anyone had suggestions of where I can host my emails? Where's best at least?

(My domain is on a webhost, current email uses MX records to the Outlook.com servers and so forth)

    Thanks

FastMail is an excellent alternative to Outlook.com (and Google Apps), but if you're after something that's free, Zoho Mail seems to be a popular choice.

The only thing I wish FastMail had was push e-mail for when I'm using my smartphone, but that can easily be added through a third-party service like NuevaSync.

My understanding from the email is they are just stopping you from adding any more users to your custom domain so create any users you would like now and they will continue to support the accounts you have. You can get 90 day trial of office 365 and of you don't pay the will convert you back just to the outlook.com account but you won't be able to add any new users .

Pants, I was quite enjoying the setup of paying £4 a month for my web/domain hosting and then free e-mail hosting with up to 50 accounts using Outlook.com in my defense I read the e-mail very late at night so obviously didn't read it properly, guess I can keep using it as I don't think I'll need to create any more accounts on it. At least I have time to look around, thanks all for the help
