We have Serif MoviePlus X6 installed in our ICT suite, and the teachers have decided to allow the kids to grab a number of pre made video clips from a network share that the kids have read access to. This has caused a problem, as you can understand, we currently have 26 kids all importing the movie clips, which are recorded in HD for some unknown reason, into movieplus and this causes it to hang. I know the issue is down to the data being transferred over the network and not being run locally, but I just wondered if anyone
has come across this problem before and if so how did you get around it?
Our IT teachers are blaming the new PC's, but core i5 with 4gb RAM is more than the recommended spec for the software, but I just can't see how to force the video clips to be saved locally before being imported to movieplus.
