Free software for auditing DVD collection

I am looking for some free software that will show the info of our large school DVD collection. I remember reading on here that someone had used a similar system that read all the details as soon as you put the DVD into the machine, saving you the time of typing the info into the software. Any ideas? I have done a search already but can't find it.

May not have been what was mentioned but is very handy - doesn't scan based on the DVD you put in but uses a webcam as a barcode scanner to search Amazon etc. As long as your DVDs retail on standard websites it seems to do the job very nicely.
