Ok imported the database fine using myphpadmin but when I go to the main url which is http://10.1.130.12/rooms/ I get redirected toOriginally Posted by webman
I'm guessing the paths are wrong somewhere but I checked the config and my default path is correct as far as I can see.Code:http://10.1.130.12/rooms/index.php/site/home
EDIT: or maybe its a linux/windows thing?Code:$config['base_url'] = 'http://10.1.130.12/rooms/';

Did you do the install page after you imported the tables?
I cant get to any page thats the problem, it just re-directs to
http://10.1.130.12/rooms/index.php/site/home
Whats the url of the install page? Instructions say to go to the main index.
Nah I give up, I've installed WAMPServer and dragged the CRBS folder in but getting loads of errors from loads of things.
A tutorial might helpbut until then I'll stick with what we use already. Knowing nothing about any of these things and the nature of these bundles I don't know where to start, permissions, crbs, mysql, php, apache, it could be any or none or all of those.
It's me really.
As recommended to me on this site, we now use a shared spreadsheet with google docs.
I've set it up to reserve computer labs and IT resources like projector carts. If you signup for the free apps for education program you can limit it nicely to your domain and give your teachers email and sharable calendars too.
I have issues with Google's privacy.

What's wrong with Google's privacy?
There only documentation I have is for NIX-based system and is very basic due to lack of time etc etc.
The way they scan your data and target ads, isn't that just what Spyware does that we spend so much time fighting?

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but those friendly bright letters have some serious issues behind them I'm sure.
Now Microsoft, they can have all the data on me they want![]()
I'm not in the business of defending Google's business practices or interesting in arguing about these types of issues, but if you do the apps for education, you can turn the ads off for all services with a single radio button.
I put in MRBS recently on an old curriculum desktop running Ubuntu 7.10 server (soon to be on more suitable hardare). Works a treat, staff think it's great. Cost us £0! I use it to book other stuff besides rooms - portable multimedia for example.
Ive tried a few booking systems but couldnt find something that worked or did what I wanted...so I made my own
Demo http://www.el-tek.co.uk/bookings/index.php
use 'admin' and 'password' or 'user' and 'user'
Download http://www.ericsworld.eu/f2/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=0
Coded in php/ajax/mysql...for those who don't have php..its time you did
Download, unzip to a folder on your webserver, edit dbsettings.php to use your mysql server, point your browser at www.thefolder.bla\setup.php. That should install all the datebase table, default settings, some departments, a default room and admin user ready to go...
Any feedback good or bad is most welcome...
That looks awesome EeEk, I might be being stupid but I don't seem to be able to find the download link on the download page....
Any chance of a direct link?
Cheers
Jona
Hello
I have set up this in Deben http://mrbs.sourceforge.net/
Its great you can create differnet periods and rooms.
The olny downside to this that it can not beconfigured to add multiple books every other week for schools with a 2 week timetable system!
I am running this on Lunix with PHP and MySQl
Adam
My fault...had it in a category that only registered users could see...Originally Posted by Jona
Id rather not direct link to it because this way I can track the number of downloads...not that that means much other than someone thought it was worth a look![]()
Great system EeEk, works fine on our PHP server.
One feature request would be to limit the amount of lessons a department can book in a single week. We found some teachers will hog all the lesson times at the expense of others!
Also recurring lessons for admin users would be nice
Thanks again!
