Our music rooms are in a complete mess at the moment. This is mainly due to there being not enough space on each desk for a computer, computer keyboard, mouse, and a music keyboard.
Does anyone have any pictures of their nice tidy music rooms, or suggestions for how we can sort this out?
We will probably need to buy new desks of some sort, but we are not really sure what to get.
Thanks.

Apple stores use a snazzy-looking perspex stand that you can fit a music keyboard on top of and slide a computer keyboard underneath. You could probably make your own by bending some thick wire into shape.

Thanks will have a look at the Apple thing!
Webman, those computer desks with the recessed keyboard shelf look good. Do you have any idea where they came from or how much they cost?
Thanks.

We have a similar setup to webman, but we have 3 tier desks (dont have any pics at mo though), pc on floor right at back, keyboard on desk which can be push under 1st tier, keyboard on 1st tier which again can be pushed away under 2 tier (top) which has monitor.

We just use normal benching with TFT's and shuttle base units.
Screen pushed back, midi keyboard in front and then keyboard in front of that
Bit squashed but works well enough

20th July 2010, 03:52 PM #8 Hi all,
Thought I'd resurrect this thread rather than starting a new one.
I'm looking for a few companies who will supply me with desking for our music department. Ideally I'd be looking at a multiple tiered approach.
Has anyone done this recently?
Cheers in advance
Iain
