Problems with My Docs Sync on laptop.
I have a laptop that is in AD and has folder sync setup on them. I have also setup each user with the the relevant directory for the My Docs to be sent to.
Directory Setup is :-
d:\Users\(Username)
Shared as Users$, but on Administrator has access to users$ and then each individual user has full ownership to their folder.
In the folder redirection for the users I have used the following options :
Settings for folder redirection : Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location)
Path = \\(servername)\Users$\%username%
Options :
Grant User exclusive rights to My Documents - Disabled
Move the contents of My Documents to the new location - Disabled
Policy Removal Behaviour - Leave Contents
The laptop in question is shared between 3 users, 1 user is working perfectly but the other two do not get the sync icon and on my documents and the laptop will not sync documents to offilne folder. Any ideas? All Domain Users are local admins.
Cheers

Wired or wireless?
Reboot a few times including doing a GP force update whilst on wired ... this tends to fix it for us.

Are the users part of the correct OU? The one the GPO is linked to ?
Try the gpo group results wizard thingy

Our offline files work pretty flawlessly, we found the most reliable way is to set the shared folder on the server to always make these files and folders available offline, and to ensure offline files is forced on on the relevant machines by group policy, ensure the users policy is set to use offline files, and set to sync automatically at logon and logoff.
Because the folder is now set to always be available offline, it's important to make sure offline files is switched off on machines that don't need it, otherwise all users folders will start to be cached on machines all over the place.

Are all users in the same OU?
Use GPMC to run RSoP to check that the same GPOs are being applied to all three users.
Part of me is still tempted to double check permissions.
