Question Server Useage Mangement / Early warning system

I have just taken over a network which is in a state, its over 100 servers which I is causing so many issues. Anyway I want some free and easy to set up monitoring software which I can just glance at and maybe that can even e-mail out a usage warning etc, the network in 95% Windows if it can cover that it would be great, I want to try and avoid all these Linux disto's as it loads of extra config tat I don't have time for. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Eep, 100 servers you could have a look at this Free IT Community, Help Desk, and Network Monitoring - Spiceworks or nagios Nagios - The Industry Standard in IT Infrastructure Monitoring if you like Linux and thousand line config files
