    imaging software

    Looking for some reccomendations.

with Xp I used Redo Backup which let me boot into linux take an image of an xp machine and then image new pcs.

However this does not work with windows 7 it just crashes out.

Is there any other free software or anthing that you reccomend that will let me clone a current pc to a new one. Just having to go in and change the windows license and computer name?

    cheers

CloneZilla will do it. I have not used it at work but do used it for private jobs. Never had an issue with Windows 7.

    +1 for FOG.

WDS here too - took me less than a day to create a new windows 7 64bit image and have it ready for deploying via the server.

PM me if you need any help as I've got some notes covering the process from start to finish. (ish)
