bugga, didnt see that bit, cheers craig.
@plexer and outpost
I now need to export what software is installed on each machine. It dose'nt seem to have this function. I can print a list but my NM dosent want that.
GLPI has some more advanced reporting functions and integrates well with OCS... I don't use OCS directly so cannot help much more than offering this as a solution.
cheers ric. will take a look into this
Not sure if this has been recommended but give
Its free give it a whirl
I have read through this thread and made a few changes on my end from what I have seen...i.e. renaming the executable to the IP address...simple stuff...
I have logged in with a test account that is triggering the script. I see the little box pop up saying it is loading the OCS software...progress % displays and the box goes away.
Would I see anything else to indicate that it HAS run and is now active or has done it's thing?
I do not see a service relating to the software by name or anything that might be it...
I am waiting a little while to see if it does propagate and show an inventory, but at this point I see nothing...
Could there be other things I have missed? Insight would be awesome...
Give it time, it does seem to take a while to get to the server as each computer waits a random amount of time before it talks to the server.
Yeah...I will check it again tomorrow. This is no rush. I am only running the script on one machine right now.
Will followup either way...
Thank you for the fast response...
