This has been getting my goat for a while,
We are using Microsoft Office 2003 here, Along side Open Office v2 for choice.
We mainly use M$ Orrafic for Outlook to connect to the exchange server. On the server I have Network Associates (McAffee) Group Shiel Exhange which is blocking ZIP, AVI, EXE, MP3, SWF etc etc. There is a script (batch file) that runs every night on the student areas which deletes all the files we dont want.
The new one is Them embedding flash files of games (main 2 are Tetris and Sonic) in XLS files, which means we can go through deleting those files and blocking them. I have seached for the name of the files and deleted them over this holiday, but it doesn't seem to want to in the script. So the Ultimate question is can we block flash being opened in Excell 2003.
We need to keep macros trusted because they are needed for GCSE and A Levels
