    Questions about student email addresses

    Hi Guys and Girls

We are looking at using office365 for student emails and keep the exchange server for staff only.

Are you using office365 for student email addresses?

Have you got an AUP for this?

Have you set your student emails to a closed campus? If so, what domains do you allow through

    How do you manage bullying?

Do you have any problems with students sending spam emails to other students? Im talking inappropriate images etc.

    Who polices the email system?

Email address format for usernames? I was thinking the same as their username YearofentryFirstname.Surname@.....

Do your users know about deleted emails, if you delete them fully, IT Support cannot retrieve them once fully deleted

Any other problems you have come across.

I just need to get a feel for what other schools are doing.

    Thanks

Closed campus (incoming/outgoing) is down to the school, try and restrict as needed if need be.

Policies for bullying/spam - Implement supervision policies in Office 365 - Live@Edu Upgrade to Office 365 for education - Office 365 - Microsoft Office 365 Community

As for deleted email, you can set policies, retain messages, considering they have a 25GB mbx, may not ave to delete for the time they are at the school or move on.

Email addresses, again entirely up tp you/the school.

You mean spoof internal users email addresses?

You can use SPF records for that.
