    A Challenge

Can anybody think up a way to explain to a 94 year-old how a flash memory card works?

I've only just got him to understand the concept of digital. Now he wants to know how his digital camera works. I tried earlier, but failed.

He may be ignorant about technology - but I think even he would be able to see through that one!

Tell him the card is like a photo box...

The camera takes the picture and then stores photo in the box...

Like when you would take a photo and get it developed and then store it in box to keep it safe along with all your other photo's..

In this case the photobox is the memory card...

I've done something similar, but he's picky (he's from Yorkshire). He actually wants to know how it really works.

We should have never given him the digital camera.

Forgot explaining flash memory, you'll need to explain jpeg format for storing before the flash memory is important, but go for, the whole hog, do it the right way
