Adding in first name and last name into AD general tab

I have ended up with blank fields for first name and surname in the general tabs for users in AD, the display name is filled in as Joe Bloggs anyone know how to script a way in AD to take the display name for certain UO's and fill in the first name and last name section of the general tabs from this?

I don't fancy sitting and typing it in for each user.

bulk AD users from wisesoft can use variables it might work. if the built in variables do not work, you can use the edit in excel option to split the field.
