I use it to backup some stuff for my inlaws business, think I use the business 200 (though it was business 500 before the rebrand).

At school we use the business 1000 i suppose it will be now.

I've been asked to look into remote backups so just gave ceejay.net a bell.

Cost is £15 per server with unlimited storage per server.

We're only small and running 3 servers that need backing up nightly. One has 3 virtual machines and it was suggested that would be fine.
From what I gather each server would have four users, install crashplan on each virtual machine would be a per user thing - so a server with 3 VMs would be fine.

Our LEA I think uses Redstor so going to have a look at them and Oakford at BETT but crashplan does seem a good price @ £540 pa for us.

We've just ordered CrashPlan/Ceejay as well, albeit prior to the unlimited pricing being available.

I'm just waiting for the order to go through so we can install.

We're only using it to backup essential files, rather than VMs, and really treating it as an absolute worst case scenario e.g. entire school burnt down.

Same here, the CeeJay stuff is good. Also using at home on my inlaws business machine.

I would suggest To have Off site tape Pluse to have a latop configured as AD/DC, with 1 TB or more Hdd space and syn the data every days ( always sync software to one way) carry laptop every days out. upload system state , Mail to cloud.

In my opinion data is not safe unless it is stored in at least 3 places.

Personally I recommend to any of my clients,

    1. Onsite Backup to NAS Devices (usually using Veeam)
    2. Replication of Server/Servers offsite to DR location
    3. Backup to cloud for critical data.

A new product I have been working with is Datto backup, backs up locally to the device and then backs up to the cloud.
