    GPO Preferences File Copy

How do I copy a file from a server share to a users home folder using GPO Preferences,
Tried a few things but it's not working - the policy is being appled but the file isn't being copied

    so from \\server\share$\application\file.ini

    i've tried this :- %HOMEPATH%\%LogonUser%\LEGO Creations\MINDSTORMS Projects\Profiles\Default

    (yes lego mindstorms )

to the users home dir - do the folders need creating first?

Pretty much, (I've read that) It's the environment variables i'm having fun with - the event log isn't particularly helpful either - just path not found.
Students have a home drive mapped to h: with folder redirection (my documents etc) and all i'm trying to do is copy this ini file into their home folder (On the server)!

If the item is going into the users documents I think you need to tick the box 'Run in logged-on user context' in the Common Tab of the properties.

I guess it should create the folder if need be.

    I normally use the path \\[server fqdn]\sharename\%UserName%\[folder name]\[filename]
