CHanging single users desktop background on AD Server 2008

    Hi,
Sorry if this has been mentioned but couldnt find it in the forums. I am relatively new to AD and have been practicing on VM. Basically i want to change one users desktop background i.e generic tech login. Theres other techs in the same ou but these logins are used on single pc where as the generic tech is used to login into machines when doing helpdesk calls.

All staff have the same active background (school logo with shortcuts) but the generic tech does not need the shortcuts. I created a new background (html) with the shortcuts i will be needing (spiceworks, helpdesk, papercut logger etc).

Is it possible to assign a different background to a single user instead of everyone in the ou?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    regards,

    Haz

Its possible, you need to use group policy filtering

Or put them in a sub-OU, create a new desktop policy and apply it only to the new sub-OU [remembering to enable User Group Policy loopback processing mode and set it to 'Replace']
