These have a very strange VGA interface does anyone know what they are called?
Wes
Isn't that for the proprietary IBM 'cable chaining' you can do with those servers?
I believe so yes? So I take it you have to buy a VGA PCI card for it? Or could you just use the daisy chaining cable type connector with a vga connector that plugs into a monitor? I think I may be going mad![]()

You need IBM part number 00N6954. This is a cable which plugs into the large DVI-like connector on the back of the 335. It provides PS/2 mouse, PS/2 Keyboard and VGA for the server. The mouse connector seems to be fussy on ours.. It can't cope with a USB mouse on a PS/2 adapter, you need a native PS/2 mouse![]()
I guess you always could put in a PCI VGA Card and use USB K/M if you can't get a cable.
The cable chaining is nice if you don't have a KVM switch and do have many servers, but if you do have a KVM or only have a single server it's a pain!
Yes, I think you just need the cable adapter.
