    Sharepoint Services

Does anyone else have sharepoin? If so do any of you use it for your E-Portfolios? How do I set this up? I'd like to authenticate via our AD as normal just wondering if anyone has a howto doc?

    Re: Sharepoint Services

We have Microsoft SharePoint; we use it as our Learning Gateway (VLE). How do you mean E-Portfolios?

If I am right in thinking, you have an html/php index page and the e-portfolio links are within a defined structure on your hard drive.

I would create a site, create document libraries to store the files and using the Page Viewer Web Part display the Index page. Then ensure the links within the e-portfolio are linked to the files in the document library.

    Hope that helps!

For the e-portfolio each pupil has to be able to store their documents using a system that moderators can view from a web browser externally from the school?

    Re: Sharepoint Services

Ok, so go with the suggestion above. Then you just need to create an account in AD called 'moderators' for example, and give that domain user read access to the newly created site.

    Hope that helps!
