HAP 8 - Room Booking

A quickie.

Is the room booking used as a timetable also.. i only ask this as its pulling all the rooms to be imported on the static booking so it will populate everyones rooms.

I can't get it to import them yet though.. a Object reference not set to an instance of an object error is showing up when I try.

When setting up the booking system does the rooms/periods have to match exactly what is in the Sims report? Also, it mentions the display name being the same... can this just be put in the notes section as mentioned?

The way the booking system works is one teacher in one room at one time. You can't have two staff in one room or one staff member in two places. Check your bookings to make sure your have no mistakes as this is how I got rid of my errors when setting up.

Check your pe staff first if it's anything like mine there all put in one room and they just decide them selves where to teach.

Thanks, I will have another play. I was only trying to import 1 teacher to start with but it wouldn't have it. Need to set up all the periods and rooms first anyway. Great product this HAP but its testing me.

Very true when it's set up its an amazing product but sometimes it can be torture. I use a spread sheet and create my xml code in that using concatenate. It's not pretty but can be used to spot duplicates.

Like I said one teacher for one room. Good luck.
