    Version 7.8, My Files uploading - some files upload OK, some fail.

    Hi Nick,
    I have installed version 7.8 this morning and have been having a play with the My Files - it is looking good, much better than the legacy browsers.

    Anyway, I have found that certain files seem to fail on upload. These files are allowed file types, things such as flv's and pdf's - though I don't think there is any relation to the type of file. I was wondering if it were due to the size of the files as I have noticed it with 4mb pdf's and 100mb flv's, but, we do have the following in our web.config file that should stop this?

    Code:
    <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="819200" />
    I noticed that Firebug is reporting the following request as a 404 response:

    "NetworkError: 404 Not Found - https://domain.com/HAP/api/myfiles-upload/L/"

    Any ideas?

    On an unrelated note, if I was to make a suggestion, would it be possible for the My Drives on the left to be initially expanded to show the mapped drives?

    Try
    HTML Code:
     <location path="api/myfiles-upload">
      <system.web>
       <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="2097151" executionTimeout="7200" />
      </system.web>
    	</location>
    	<location path="myfiles/default.aspx">
      <system.web>
       <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="2097151" executionTimeout="7200" />
      </system.web>
    	</location>
    If you are still getting errors can you check the event log

    Hi Nick
    I am still getting the same response. The last entry in the event log was myself logging in and not this failing.

    Thanks for your help.

    Ok, it's looking like it's failing because the file is a restricted file type, well that's what I'm getting on my sets anyhow.

    Hi @InterwebsGuy can you give Home Access Plus+ - Download: v7.9 a try, see if it fixes, or at least prompts you with the correct error message

    Hi Nick
    I installed the version you linked me, now all I get when trying to access My Files is a blank screen:

    They shouldn't be! PDF's should definitely be fine. But I will check this too.

    Thanks

    Ok that error is reporting an issue finding the quota server, meaning you've set a drive mapping up and told it to use a quota server, but there's not associated quota server for that mapping

    That may well have been my bad when I recreated the config file. Cheers

    I am now getting a more useful error message when attempting to upload the same file saying it is too large. It certainly isn't the 2gb you have set in the web.config file!
