    IIS APPPOOL\HAP

I couldnt find the below user on the webserver local machine:

    Add the permission:
    a. IIS AppPool\HAP (Findable from the Local Machine). Set them to Read & Execute permissions
    b. App_Data Folder: Set to Read & Write

Do I need to create myself? also b doesnt make much sense, can anyone help?

See this page on HAP+'s codeplex site: Home Access Plus&#43

    Code:
    icacls C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Hap /grant "IIS AppPool\HAP":(RX)

I tried this but get the error - invalid parameter "IIS AppPool\HAP"

This worked for me last time I installed HAP but not this time. Are there some IIS role services I need to add?

Thanks in advance for any help

Make sure that the Application Pool is called HAP, and is set to run as the Application Pool Identity.

If that fails, you can create a user and tell the application pool and website to run as that user instead
