Post HAP 7.6 - The Handle is invalid on file download

    Hi Nick
I have updated to the 7.6 version this morning and once again we have a broken file download. It is a different exception to the last time - maybe because the dll you gave me last time fixed that?

    Anyway, below is the exception.

    Server Error in '/HAP' Application.

The handle is invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070006 (E_HANDLE))

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The handle is invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070006 (E_HANDLE))

    Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

    Stack Trace:

That error isn't saying that there's a problem with HAP+, since there is no stack traces to HAP.*, just System.

Nothing in the HAP.Web dll has changed for a few days, since I put the new download handler routines in last week.

We were seeing this error too - Fresh install of 2008r2 this morning with a new copy of .net 4 full profile. When i fully patched the server and .net with all the windows update in the hope of fixing it I could no longer log in.

How bizarre, as the only thing I changed on HAP.AD was the contained impersonation stuff (only called by the apis, not the pages).

I'm baffled by this, it shouldn't be happening

Just so you are aware, mine is also doing the same. I still love it though.

Found the bug, I've added some #if DEBUG statements in, and when I switched to release mode, it stopped using a bit of code that I'd miss placed.

Really big sorry to everyone who has downloaded v7.6.1030.2000, the download issue has now been fixed, and v7.6 has been re-released.

You can download the full version from Home Access Plus+ - Download: v7.6

You can also download just the fix from Home Access Plus+ - Download: v7.6.1031.1800
