    I tried this as i'd got past the exception error so i thought and started getting this:

    [ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.]
    System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentException(Exceptio nResource resource) +52
    System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.Insert(TKe y key, TValue value, Boolean add) +9375355
    System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.Add(TKey key, TValue value) +11
    HAP.Web.Configuration.LinkGroups..ctor(XmlDocument & doc) +390
    HAP.Web.Configuration.Homepage.get_Groups() +56
    HAP.Web.Default.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) +6740
    System.Web.Util.CalliHelper.EventArgFunctionCaller (IntPtr fp, Object o, Object t, EventArgs e) +14
    System.Web.Util.CalliEventHandlerDelegateProxy.Cal lback(Object sender, EventArgs e) +35
    System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) +91
    System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +74
    System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +2207

    Alas, after applying the update above, and having tried with different users / clearing cache etc, still getting the above error.

    Looks like there is a group with the same name, have a look in the hapConfig.xml file, under the /hapConfig/Homepage/LinkGroups

    In the Deny Users section, replace the * with an OU, or multiple OUs from AD that you want to restrict access to, such as students, teaching staff, etc.
