Hi, there is no such option anywhere to sepcify, the only option in object type is users, nothing else to choose from.
My bad, sorry about that, yes leave that as IUSR_WO49996801. Then add permission to that user to the app_data folder. Sorry haven't used IIS6 in a while
Hi Nick,
I now changed the securtiy setting for the IUSER_SERVERNAME account from Deny to Modify on the app_data folder, and from Deny to Read & excute on the HAP folder.
I can now start the configuration page, but get and Internal Error everytime I put the Administrator username and passowrd to connect to active directory.
Attachment 11705
I am sure that the Domain UPN and username and password are correct.
Thanks
Hi Nick,
I have updated to version 7.6 but still the configuration page doesn't conncet to active dir.
A windows saying active dir browsing is open, and nothing happens.
Thanks
Hi Nick,
I installed firefox 7 and firebug.
Did everything you asked me to, but can't find at all any part in firebug that says https://site.school.uk/hap/api/setup/getadtree
Also can't find any response tab.
Please look at this for what I can see.
Thanks
Click on the Console Tab at the top of firebug
Hi,
The response tab says: {"GetADTreeResult":null}
Can you download the HAP+ Web Logging Setup Utility from codeplex.
Run this app on your HAP+ server, this will create a new event log in the event viewer
Copy the attached HAP.Web.dll to your ~/bin/ folder
Re-run the setup page, and try entering the username/password again.
Check the HAP+ Event Log in the Event Viewer for errors
Hi,
I followed your instructions, and after replacing the hap.web.dll file I get a different error: 500 Internal Server Error.
The event log for for Home Access Plus on the server is empty.
Regards
Can you try accessing the HAP+ page from the server, should give you some more info
Hi, I tried it from the server, still event viewer is empty, the error message is the same.
Thanks
When you use intenet explorer on the HAP+ server to launch HAP+ it provides more information in IE. Not the event viewer! Usually on something that is wrong in IIS
