    My Computer Browser not working

I've got HAP running with the helpdesk and booking part working ok but I just can't get the computer browser bit working. here is a screenshot of the basic and silverlight interfaces. These problems are the same in all browsers. Silverlight is just not displaying anything apart from the my computer icon. The html version does display the mapped drive but tries to open a page called "mycomputer/F" which it can't find (i took the screenshot while hovered over so you can see what it's looking for.

Have I missed something in the iis setup.

This server already has eclipse.net library software on a different website which runs flawlessly in silverlight with auto log in as well (hence HAP on port 88)

You need SSL for it to work apparently.

If you have a SSL certificate install that on IIS or generate a self signed cert, add a https binding and you're good to go!

That address doesn't look right. When I hover over ours we get https://hap.domain.com/hap/MyComputer/S.

Is your site address defined properly in the config file? Would be my first guess, if not you may need Nick's help!

Where would the site address be located in the config. I see school name and website address but not the HAP site address?

Yes - I meant the website address in the config file. I just wondered if that was in there wrong / typo'ed or something like that it might be causing issues. I guess other things would probably not be working though if it were wrong!

One thing I did notice was that when I first click on the my computer icon it doesn't ask what version it just plonks me straight into the basic one. Have cleared cookies and this was a new install for 7.2 anyway. Has this selection been removed? Can I force it to silverlight as default instead?

Again that doesn't sound right, I did a new install of the current build a couple of days ago and it asked me which I wanted to use. It has only asked once, though. I would have thought that preference was stored within a cookie.

According to Chrome there is a cookie called "mycompv" which has the value "html" for me - I am guessing that would be for the basic/silverlight browser.

Right back to basics. New virtual server and new install. I'll see what happens after that. At least this isn't a live system yet so I can tinker all I like

Yes that is the cookie for the silverlight/html browser. Setting it to SL tells it to use the silverlight version when silverlight is available. Alternatively you can browse to /hap/mycomputersl.aspx

If you get a 404 page not found when you browse to that page, you may not of set the application pool to integrated pipeline mode, or in IIS6 not adding the wildcard ISAPI mapping
