    First my situation Win 2k3 vanilla domain, IIS 6 installing on a member server (our web/print server) I have followed the pdf documentation and videos to the best of my ability and added the HAP install within our moodle install. all settings look correct (to me )

    When I go to the hap install I get the below.

    A bind error is an error usually with your AD setup in the web.config file

    your domain needs to be the FQDN i.e. 'myschool.bham.sch.uk' you will also need to enter the distinguised name of your Domain controller i.e. 'LDAP://myserver.myschool.bham.sch.uk/dc=myschool,dc=bham,dc=sch,dc=uk'

    and then on top of that you need to ensure that you have the correct username setup in the format domain\username - and that this user has read/write access to your AD environment

    if you want, post your web.config and I can take a look - NOTE: open it first and do a find and replace on the three entries for your domain user password

    if its a quota entry it cannot find then you may have to watch the videos on YouTube as I am not to up with that part of it yet...

    you dont have to use the quota info though, if you remove the entries:

    Code:
          <quotaservers>
            <add expression="\\CURRIC-B\{0}.$" server="CURRIC-B" drive="H:" />
            <add expression="\\curric-b.astonmanor.bham.sch.uk\{0}.$" server="curric-b" drive="H:" />
          </quotaservers>
    It may stop this from happening

    Let me know how you get on

    I tried deleting the lines you suggested but still no joy.

    I'm going to have a watch this afternoon, the locals normally calm down by then. I'll let you know how I get on and thanks again Mark.

    Ok i just checked our config file, you may want to try the below for your UNC path for your homedrive

    Code:
    <add drive="H" name="My Documents" unc="%homepath%" enablereadto="All" enablewriteto="All" enablemove="True" />
    give that a go it will bypass the search for quotas (i think!)

    Thank you for your help, and thank you in the furture as I will no doubt be bugging you again. If you think of anything else your more than welcome to mention it.

    Should I be worried

    took a little while for it to load
    This is the normal case as the server has to process the request and as it is .net we have to give it a little extra time to 'think' also

    Glad I could help

    Errors errors everywhere. I need your brains again sister_annex and Nickbro.

    1. when downloading a file under anyone from a drive I get
    Code:
    Server Error in '/Extranet' Application.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    The user can access this drive and do what they want in windows and in HAP they can rename and upload new files to the location just cant download.

    UNC paths

    Code:
    <uncpaths>
    	  <add drive="H" name="My Documents" unc="\\curric-b\students\{0}" enablereadto="student" enablewriteto="Studnet" enablemove="True" />
    	  <add drive="I" name="My Documents" unc="\\curric-a\staff\{0}" enablereadto="Staff, Domain Admins" enablewriteto="Staff, Domain Admins" enablemove="True" />
                  <add drive="N" name="Subjects" unc="\\curric-b\newpublic\subjects\" enablereadto="students" enablewriteto="Staff, Domain Admins" enablemove="True" />
                 <add drive="S" name="Staff Drive" unc="\\curric-b\newpublic\" enablereadto="Staff, Domain Admins" enablewriteto="Staff, Domain Admins" enablemove="True" />
    	</uncpaths>
    2. Logon tracker does not log logons (lol so many logs) and the user card does this when you logon:

    Help, Vanilla install issues-logon.jpgHelp, Vanilla install issues-logon-2.jpg

    web.config

    Web config 160511.txt

    As always thank you for your help, hopefully I'm able to repay the favour.

    I'm not too sure on these to be honest. We don't use the Logon tracker (yet!) and as for the other error I really haven't got a clue.

    Is your web server set to HTTPS?? If not I know that this will cause issues with the Logon tracker and Usercard.

    Hi sister, no worries on not being sure. All your help so far has being great.

    HAP is run over https I used the startssl very to get free one which works.

    Sadly it still don't work, I've probably failed some where.

    Wils86 have you had any luck resolving your last error. I am getting exactly the same thing.

    I can create new items, delete existing items but can't open/download existing or new items.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
