    Hi Nick,

Like everybody else I am seriously impressed by HAP but unlike most people I am struggling to get it to work. When installed on the FRS I get the following error message when trying to open the home page (when logged on at the server):

    Configuration Error
Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: An error occurred loading a configuration file: Failed to start monitoring changes to 'D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\Web Components\web.config' because access is denied.

    Source Error:

    [No relevant source lines]

    Source File: D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\Web Components\web.config Line: 0

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times but the above fault persists. Also, RMMC stops working with a 6001 error if HAP is installed but only on the FRS, works fine everywher3er else.

If HAP is installed on another server it works a treat internally (//servername/extranet) however nothing happens when I try using domain name/extarnet.

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?

    Kind regards

    Ian

Apologies if this is mentioned earlier in the thread but i think ive installed this correctley on a 2003 server running iis6. When I browse to the site it asks me for my logon credentials 3 times before displaying a "Server Error /Extranet Application". "Access is denied" error

Should I have windows integrated authentication ticked?

Where may i have gone wrong.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I get the same error and RMMC stops working on the FRS.

Basic Authentication should be ticked and the other entries (anonymous, integrated etc) should be unticked.

Access denied is a permissions thing, it may be an entry in the web.config file hat you have to change to a specific group on your network that may be the issue though may be worth checking this first - the code below is about 75% of the way towards the bottom of the config file.

    Code:

I'm not RM unfortunatley so not sure about the other issues, sorry.

    Hi Nick,

Like everybody else I am seriously impressed by HAP and really appreciate the time and effort you have put into this. We have some of the features working but need a little bit of help with the logon tracker. We have made the changes according to your videos on the Home Access Plus+ site but nothing shows in the tracker portal, itís probably just a tweak thatís needed, but I canít seem to fathom it out. Any help would be appreciated

Loving the whole HAP system, cheers!
Wondering if anybody could help, currently configuring the Static booking but even if I change the term to start this week on Week 2 it still reports week 1 so my timetable bookings are all incorrect. Any ideas what setting I need or can change to force the week to be week 2 this week?
    Cheers
    Gaz

When tested I noticed this (only for the first page) - when removing cache control to solve an IE/Win7 issue it seems to have sped up - just wondering if you are using a DC other than forest root too?

We had this too and I ended up removing the update line in the main page file, as it seemed to be hanging while checking for something. Removing this line sped it up to near instant

Been using this successfully for about a term now, but have had one user in this morning on a Mac who has had problems. Whenever he loads the Silverlight version of the site, Safari presents a Silverlight message with error number 2105 "Initialize error".

He's using the latest version of Silverlight (had to install it for the first time when using the site) and his browser UA is Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.19.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.3 Safari/533.19.4

Another user has the exact same setup and his works fine. Haven't tried reinstalling Silverlight yet as I've only had a few minutes with his MacBook to look at the problem, but I was wondering if anyone else had any pointers for the next time I get hold of it?

We're having issues on Macs too on version 5.4.5. Works fine in Firefox on OSX 10.5/6 but cannot download files using Safari.
